Today is the day! After many long months of working on this book and all the other aspects that come with it. We have reached the release date and I’m thrilled to announce that my new book Hope is Alive, is officially out!
I know I didn’t just win an Academy Award, but today is such an exciting day, that I couldn’t help but write up a little “thank you speech”. There are so many people who helped make this dream a reality and they deserve to be recognized. But before I do that, I want to direct you over to the books new website, which went live late last night (nothing like last minute right?). So go check it out. We’ve created a special video just to promote the book, so please share that socially or email the link to a friend who may need some hope today.

Back to my awards speech…. When it comes down to it there are literally hundreds of people I could thank. These are just a few of the folks that came to mind who weren’t already listed in the back of the book. If you want to know who made that list…. well, you gotta go buy the book (you can pick it up here).
So without any further delay…. and in no particular order… I would like to thank…..
-Everyone from Pryor OK! Your support has blown me away, seriously I love you folks!! I want to come share my story with ya’ll real soon!
-Every staff member at Rob’s Ranch, TRC, Jim Riley Outreach and the Pellow Houses. You all nursed me back to health with love and compassion.
-The lovely and kind folks out at Surrey Hills – I stuttered through my story first with you all. Thank you for always having my back…
Baptist General Convention of OK – Dr. Jordan, Brian Hobbs, Keith Burkhart, Jeremy Davis – Thank you for giving me such great support and a huge platform to share my story of HOPE!
-My family at Sanctuary OKC – Israel, Stefne & Brian – I needed a place to call home. Thank you for creating one…
Samson Varughese – I love the final video… great stuff! Thank you!
Curtis Stephens – All the book’s graphics, website and layout are better than I could have ever imagined. Thanks for being patient with me bro…
Adam Palmer – (The editor)  My friend, you really made this happen and you know it. I don’t deserve someone like you. You are a true gift from God. Thank you for helping me find my voice.
GitWit Creative – Jake & Megan Johnson, Scott, Jeremiah, Doug – You all have believed in me since moment one. And Jake bro you are the smartest man on this planet. Thanks for never giving up on me… Love you man!
Scott Williams – Simply put, this doesn’t happen without you. You challenged me to do this and I did it. Thank you for being you. For boldly encouraging leaders to step up to the plate and carry out the calling God has placed on their lives. I respect you sir and honor you as a mentor.
I would also like to thank my parents of course. They put up with me while I wrote this book upstairs at their house, running downstairs every 10 minutes with a new idea or hungry for another sandwich (gotta love mama’s cookin!).  Especially you mom, you read the first few manuscripts which were down right pathetic. Thank you for enduring all of that and always being my grammar control.
Lastly, I would like to thank Ally. My dear, you endured the worst of me as an addict and I am sure you were thinking that one day I would clean up and be a better guy. By now you must have realized the truth. I’m a big selfish punk! For that I am endlessly apologetic and will continue to see my counselor … Regardless you’ve always been there for me as my absolute biggest supporter and fan. I have no story without you and if it wasn’t for you begging me to get help for so long, I would be dead by now. Period. End of story. Thank you for keeping my hope alive for me for so long. Today I can carry it on my own but its so much better when you carry it with me. All my love…
Well, that’s my awards speech. I hope you enjoyed it!! Remember to go buy the book here, go ahead and buy a couple… give one to a friend in need. We have all been affected by addiction in some form or fashion and maybe this book is just what someone in your life needs to help them keep their hope alive.
