A big part of recovery is what we call “taking inventory”. It means taking a moment during the day, typically at night, to reflect on your actions, words and attitudes. It’s a daily, thorough examination of your behavior and mindset. By doing this it helps to keep us grounded and in-touch with the areas of our lives that still need development.
This is a great exercise to work into your daily routine whether you are in addict or not. Walking through life refusing to take a look at oneself is short sided and down right dangerous. So read through these questions, answer them honestly and see if you can’t work them into your nightly routine.
