Our lives are shaped by a handful of significant moments. These moments can help to create our character, shape our soul and make us the men and women we are. But they can also push us off track, alter our self-worth and bury fears deep within us that might take years to overcome. Good, bad or ugly, these marked moments draw the outline that will eventually become the masterpiece of our lives. I bet if you took just thirty seconds you could rattle off three or four marked moments in your life.

Go ahead, jot some down now…..
What’d you write? Was it a time of joy? A time of change? A time of loss? For some of you it may have been a time that included some pain. When I look back on my thirty one years I quickly can recount five events that drastically changed my life. Like I said, some are good; some are bad and some are downright ugly.
My next book is about these marked moments in our lives. Not just the ones we can’t wait to post or tweet about, the proverbial highlight reel we want everyone to know about, but more so the tough moments, the life altering, devastating, I may never be the same–moments. The moments in life that just down right suck. The ones that hurt, sting and worst of all….linger.
My goal for this next book is to show you how God can use these marked moments in your life, even the most painful ones, for your good and His glory. How he can take the pain of our past and turn it into the platform of our future. I want to help guide you back through your past so that we can begin to see how we can use it to change our future.
If this premise scares you let me share something that might help.
YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
Everyone that just read the previous two paragraphs squirmed a bit as they read them. Shoot I squirmed as I wrote it. No one looks forward to diving into their past, because we all know what lives there. Pain, Hurt, Fear, Rejection, Abandonment and a host of other things we’d rather leave tucked away in the closet of times gone by. But the good news is, the more we pinpoint the pain that pricked our hearts the more we take away its poisonous sting.
No one enjoys feeling pain, but sometimes to find health we’ve got to walk through the pain of our past. But thankfully you’re not going to have to do this alone. I’ll be your walking partner. We’re going to take this journey together and we’re going to come out stronger, happier, more self-assured, confident and at peace than ever before!
My goal is that you’ll read the entire book and then close it with an emphatic slam! Saying to yourself, the pain of my past will not keep me from God’s purpose for my future. I’m not afraid anymore. Bring it on! The doubt has disappeared. Goodbye guilt! So long shame. Hello dreams, hello freedom!
The HOPE is coming soon and let me tell you friends, it will CHANGE EVERYTHING!
What is one moment in your life that’s altered your path? Is it tough to think about? Why?
